We treat a wide range of non-emergency medical concerns, including:
Infections
+ Ear, nose & throat (ENT) infections
+ Skin infections & rashes
+ Eye infections
+ Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
+ Gastrointestinal infections
+ Respiratory infections (coughs, sore throats, mild breathlessness)
Minor Injuries & Illnesses
+ Minor head / back / eye injuries
+ Wounds and wound infections
+ Minor burns and scalds
+ Insect and animal bites
+ Raised temperature or fever
+ Allergic reactions (mild/moderate)
+ Calf pain (suspected DVT — initial assessment only)
Other Services
+ Students without a local GP
+ Overseas visitors who’ve lost prescriptions
+ Dressing Clinic
+ Suturing
+ Home or hotel visits
What we can't treat
We treat a wide range of non-emergency medical concerns, excluding:
Emergency or Complex Medical Conditions
+ Chest pain suggestive of a heart attack
+ Stroke symptoms (e.g. sudden weakness, slurred speech)
+ Severe or ongoing loss of consciousness
+ Seizures or recent convulsions
+ Suspected overdose or poisoning
+ Suicidal thoughts or mental health crisis
+ Acute confusion or delirium
+ Urinary retention
+ Quinsy (peritonsillar abscess)
+ Suspected cauda equina syndrome
+ Severe blood loss
+ Conditions needing CT, MRI or other
hospital-only diagnostics
Unstable patients
If any of the following apply, you should go to A&E:
+ Heart rate <40 or >130 bpm
+ Breathing rate >24 breaths per minute
+ Oxygen saturation <95%
+ Systolic blood pressure <90 or >220 mmHg
+ NEWS (National Early Warning Score) >4
Other Exclusions
+ Dental pain
+ Patients who are “off legs” (e.g. sudden
unexplained mobility loss)
+ Recent visit to A&E or a hospital specialty with the same complaint
